Janab A. Thangal Kunju Musaliar (1897-1966)

Thangal Kunju Musaliar in whose honour TKMCPS was started is still a living legend exuding more meanings as the years go by . Several of his initiatives, innovations and achievements in trade industry education and social advancement have assumed prophetic character in the changing national and global scenario. His dream to uplift the weaker sections of society is realized by TKM institutions, a huge cosmopolitan family opening the portals for students from all over the world.

TKM institutions are living examples of how a sole man’s determination can serve to work miracles. Thangal Kunju Musaliar’s task in the educational sector began with the founding of the TKM college trust in the year 1956. The Trust made a unique beginning of a great tradition of excellence in education when Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first president of India laid the foundation stone of TKM College of Engineering. Over the years the TKM College Trust has added several jewels to its crown extending various fields of education, from play school to technical and doctoral levels. The trust has now seven premier centres under it ambit: TKM College of Engineering, TKM College of Arts and Science, TKM Institute of Technology, TKM Institute of Management, TKM School of Communication and Information Technology, TKM Centenary Public School and TKM Higher Secondary School.

The Trust envisions moulding generations of achievers and leaders by grooming self-reliant, responsible sensitive and confident individuals. By establishing the school, the trust has fulfilled a long cherished dream of the local people. A 3 year old joining TKMCPS can emerge successfully in his early twenties, either an engineering graduate, a post graduate or a management expert from the very same campus.
